Back to the Topic when you want to create a new mailbox you can either specify an existing Active Directory user or use and Exchange Admin centre to create a new Active directory user and mailbox at the same time.The steps you should follow for creating a new mailbox are as follows :
Create A New Mailbox in Microsoft Exchange Server 2016
Step 1. Open Exchange server Admin center by choosing Start > All Apps> Microsoft exchange server 2016> Exchange Admin Center .
Step 2. When promoted ,enter your username and password . The exchange server admin center will be opened.
Step 3. Click the + sign icon above the list of mailboxes and then choose user mailbox and now the new user mailbox page will appear.
Step 4. Enter the alias of the new mailbox . The alias is the portion of the email address that appears before the @ sign . For example
support@techbizy.com , the alias is support
Step 5. Choose “New user“.
Step 6. Type First name, initials and last name . As you type the name ,display name will automatically generated ,in case you want to change the display name you can change it.
Step 7. Enter the logon name ,the name must be unique withing the domain and it will be used to form user’s email addresses.

Step 8. Enter the password in both boxes.
Step 9. Click on “Save” button. This is how you can create a new mailbox in Microsoft Exchange server 2016 and it will appears in Receipt Page.
